PEPSICO THEATER, EAST CAMPUS

188 Richards Avenue, Norwalk

Come hear the famous music styles of Charlie Parker, Lester Young, Ben Webster, Coleman Hawkins, Sidney Bechet, Grover Washington Jr., Dexter Gordon, John Coltrane, Cannonball Adderley, and Sonny Rollins.

We will celebrate the contributions of these ten Greatest African American Jazz Saxophone masters and learn how they shaped our distinctly American art form called JAZZ.

The program will consist of a musical performance by Jim Clark and a historical photographic presentation about the lives of these famous musicians. We will explore their music and reveal how their contributions have influenced the music and musicians who came after them.

Jim Clark is a world-class saxophonist, multi-instrumentalist and a local music teacher. He performs and records in a wide variety of musical settings and styles. Whether he is in a recording studio, performing in a small local venue or on stage at Carnegie Hall, his goal is the same – play from the heart with the highest level of musical excellence.

Please make this special event successful by inviting your friends and neighbors!
